Moog Partners with Sewind to Supply 400 Pitch Control Systems for Wind Turbines in China
19 July 2010Moog Industrial Group recently announced a strategic collaboration agreement with Sewind Co., Ltd. in China. Starting in January 2010, Moog Industrial Group will provide 400 electric pitch control systems for Sewind’s 2 MW wind turbines and variant models including on-shore and intertidal models. Ranked one of the top five companies in China’s wind energy industry, Sewind Co., Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacturing and sale of large wind turbines. It is a joint venture of the Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. and China Huadian Engineering Co., Ltd.
Moog Driving Simulator Heightens Reality of Virtual Test Laps for Ferrari Drivers
9 June 2010Moog Industrial Group has delivered a new testing simulator to Scuderia Ferrari in the Gestione Sportiva at Maranello, Italy. Two years in development, the new Ferrari F1 dynamic driving simulator features a customized motion control solution with combined motion mechanism, control loading system, complete software package, cockpit and dedicated operator workstation.
Moog Wins Contract to Supply Pitch Systems to REpower for the Nordsee Offshore 1 Wind Farm
24 May 2010Moog Industrial Group has won a contract to supply Hamburg, Germany-based REpower Systems AG with electric blade pitch control systems for the RWE Innogy Nordsee Ost 1 wind farm, one of the largest offshore projects in the world. Beginning delivery in 2011, REpower will supply 48 wind turbines, each with Moog pitch control systems, to RWE Innogy GmbH to construct Nordsee Ost. Nordsee Ost (North Sea East) is the first project under a framework agreement concluded between REpower and RWE Innogy in February 2009 for the delivery of up to 250 offshore 5 megawatt and 6 megawatt turbines. The wind farm will be approximately 40 km (25 mi) offshore from the German island of Juist.

Moog’s Aerospace Test Solution To Support Ambitious Helicopter Program from Korean Aerospace Research Institute

(NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B), has delivered an aerospace test rig to the Korean Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) that will perform a wide range of structural and fatigue tests for helicopters. This system is part of a multi-billion dollar procurement project by the South Korean Ministry of National Defense to develop and build 245 utility helicopters over a 16-year period.

Moog Completes Acquisition of LTi REEnergy GmbH
2 June 2009East Aurora, N.Y. – After taking a 40 percent ownership stake in privately held LTi REEnergy GmbH last June, Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B) has acquired the remaining 60 percent of the Unna, Germany-based company . Moog is acquiring two manufacturing and testing facilities, one in Unna, Germany, and the other in Shanghai, China; and a widely used electric wind turbine blade pitch control system that complements Moog’s existing blade pitch control, rotor monitoring and slip ring systems.

Moog Completes Integration of Berkeley Process Control, Re-brands Berkeley Process Control’s Product Offerings
