Intern Profile: Samuel C

With aspirations to work in aerospace, Samuel applied for the internship programme through LinkedIn, hoping to gain some real-world experience.

By working in the Product Development department, interns have the chance to help conceptualise and test brand-new products, and Samuel’s experience has been no exception to that. “Despite only being here for a short time, I’ve already been given a meaningful and important project,” Samuel said. “It feels nice to be valued and trusted to prepare work for testing new products that Moog’s actively working on, not just mock projects.”

On a day-to-day basis, Samuel’s schedule varies a lot, but lately, he has been focused on preparing work for a vibration test on a servovalve – an important task to ensure the valve performs optimally. “This has involved quite a lot of different aspects, including preparing test procedures, inspecting the test rig and designing test fixtures,” Samuel continued.

So far, Samuel’s experience at Moog has been very positive, with lots of support from his team. “It feels like a large family-run business. Everyone cares for each other and is willing to help out whenever you need a hand,” concluded Samuel.
