Intern Profile: Will K

Will discovered his internship opportunity while browsing Facebook and now has a vital role in ensuring Moog’s products are of the highest quality.

Keen to learn what it was like working in the aerospace industry, Will decided to apply for a Quality Assurance position at Moog. This is a key role, as it ensures all products and components that get shipped to customers are up to Moog’s exacting standards.

On a usual day, Will spends time assisting on product integrities and raising TIPs, a software used to record non-conforming parts. He has also been tasked with reporting on products as their lifespan goes on, making sure that the quality hasn’t diminished in process after moving to the new Aircraft facility, by using data collected at each stage.

After his internship, Will intends to finish his degree at Swansea before moving onto either an MEng or a MSc. “I’ve enjoyed my time at Moog so far – it’s got a great culture, and everyone gets treated with the same level of respect,” Will said.
